Astanga Yoga
This dynamic, physically demanding practice synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body.
Astanga yoga, with its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning the body. But astanga is not a physical practice as it is very precise and asanas are put in series which are meant to liberate the mind. Astanga yoga is derivated from the word astau which means eight(limbs). So it is eight limbs yoga and three of eight limbs are asanas, pranayama and kriyas which is usually presented on classes. To be fully engaged in astanga it takes a years of dedicated practice and devotion to the path of other five limbs also. It is traditionally done 6 days in the week with one day off.
For an average human being these three limbs can be enough to feel the power of astanga and its therapeutic effect even if you go twice a week.
Hatha yoga
Hatha yoga has developed in the western world into a style of yoga that is widely practiced. Classes described as Hatha Yoga would be more basic and gentle with a focus on alignment, and physical and mental benefits of each pose, making Hatha the perfect choice for a novice yogi. Although hatha yoga is nowadays more gentle yoga than traditional hatha yoga was, on each class we challenge our students to go deeper and out of the comfort zone. It is for sure slower pace than astanga yoga, but also depending on the group of people and their capabilities.
Vinyasa flow yoga
Vinyasa flow has the potential to be extremely vigorous, it helps to build and maintain strong bones, muscles and connective tissue.
Vinyasa is derived for ashtanga vinyasa yoga and usually each class is different. There are different types of vinyasa classes, depending which yoga is a base for the practice. Experienced teacher can organise vinyasa class to have full systematic effect on your body and mind. In vinyasa you move from one to another asana, seamlessly, using breath. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. It is very important that a teacher is experienced in their own practice before teaching vinyasa as nowadays a lot of yoga classes are called vinyasa without even knowing the effect of each asana that are put together. While some schools of yoga are characterized by slow movements and deep stretching, vinyasa flow has the potential to be extremely vigorous. After you are more familiar with asanas in general vinyasa you can keep up in vinyasa to get the flow.
Restorative yoga
Is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. Usually it is done with props that are used to support the body rather than your muscles.
Pranayama
Typical but not often properly learned pranayama practice from the Astanga Vinyasa tradition is an excellent practice for quieting the mind, and can help to draw our focus inward as opposed to feeling lost in the whirlwind of daily life. You will be guided through the practice a gentle way so that anyone can experience the benefits of the breathing exercises.
Meditation
With meditation we reduce stress, control anxiety and promote emotional health. Although there are different styles of meditation, there are few styles mostly practiced in studio; formless meditation, vipasana, mindfulness and guided meditation. Mostly all teachings about meditation is that student finds his own best way to do it, but with experienced guidance.
Spontaneous meditation and flexible action is what formless meditation really is. In the process of doing it, we experience emptiness, clarity and bliss.
This is the most common meditation that is teached as it corresponds very much with the postulate be true to yourself, so no forms are added.
With meditation that is done we train our attention and awareness to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable mind.
Satya Sonic Healing
Satya brings you inner peace, calm and restorative meditation practice that is actually very natural and logical, simple in it's nature. Gong meditation is a unique type of sound practice that involves using therapeutic gong sounds and vibrations to bring about healing. Along with other traditional instruments it is unique experience to be in this sonic healing called like that simple because this sound is soothing by itself and non invasive to your relaxing mode.
Awareness of sound is used as an anchor for the mind to come back to. Just like being mindful of breath, being mindful of sound requires finding a happy balance between vigilance and relaxation.
